FamilyTable ("FamilyTable", "we", "us") is a personal project operated by an individual based in the United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) What we collect

A) Google Sign-In information

If you sign in with Google, we receive:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile picture (if available from your Google profile)

We do not receive your Google password.

B) Content you add to FamilyTable

We store content you choose to save in the app, which may include:

  • Recipes (title, ingredients, steps, notes)
  • Photos you upload (e.g., dish photos or recipe screenshots)
  • Tags, favorites, and other organization data

C) Basic technical data (for security and reliability)

We may log limited technical information such as:

  • IP address, timestamps, and basic server logs
  • Device/browser type (to troubleshoot issues and prevent abuse)

2) How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide the core service (store and show your recipes and content)
  • Keep the service secure and reliable (detect abuse, fix bugs, maintain performance)
  • Respond to support requests

3) What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • We don't access your Google data beyond basic sign-in (we do not request Drive/Gmail/Calendar, etc.).

4) Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to run FamilyTable:

Hosting provider (GoDaddy): FamilyTable is hosted using GoDaddy services. As part of hosting and security, GoDaddy may process limited technical data (like server logs and network identifiers) to deliver infrastructure and protect the service.

Legal/safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the public, or the service.

5) International data transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside where you live depending on where hosting/infrastructure systems operate. We use reasonable safeguards where required.

6) Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account remains active.

If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

You can request:

  • Access to your data
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of your account and associated personal data

FamilyTable may use essential cookies (or similar storage) for sign-in and session security. We don't use cookies for advertising.

FamilyTable is not intended for children under 13 (or higher age where local law requires). We don't knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and post the latest version on our website.
