Wedding Wednesday Part 1.

As you may have seen in my ‘About Me’, I am a soon to be wife(!!!!). So I thought, from now until our wedding (4 Months & 21 Days from now …NBD) once a week I will share some things from the journey with you.

Let’s start with how we got to this point. That adorable guy up there, is my fiancé Brian. On 29 December 2016, while we were visiting my family for Christmas one the farm where I grew up, at a spot by the river that I had told him was my favourite on our previous visit, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. And I said ‘HELL YEAH’ (actually, if I am being completely honest what I said was ‘mmmmmyeah’ because you know … emotions)

Picking our wedding date was pretty easy, I wanted either Autumn or Spring because I HATE being hot, and since it was already January by the time we got back home from visiting my family, Autumn 2017 was out (the thought of planning a wedding in three months made me want to throw up). We didn’t see the point in waiting until 2018 to get married, when you know what you want why wait. So that meant Spring 2017 it was. We wanted to keep it in early spring because my younger sister who is one of my bridesmaids is currently in year 12 and would be starting her HSC later in the spring. We also knew where we wanted to get married (more on that later) so we contacted the venue and said what have you got in September. Since my birthday is September 12 that narrowed things down a bit, and September 2 was chosen just like that. Eight-ish months to plan a wedding!
